We will be reviewing the layout proofs in a few days! The review process, as well as revisions for any typos, errors, etc. may take a few short weeks. When that is done, we will immediately send it to you as a PDF, and send the files to the printers.
At that point (when we send the final PDF) we will have an exact timeline for printing and shipping for the physical book.
Thank you SO much for you endless patience with us.
The text of the King in Yellow's actual script on Kickstarter?
Well, not quite. However, as fellow fans of weird horror, the Cthulhu Mythos team thought you might want to hear us scream in terror at the Kickstarter for The Yellow King Roleplaying Game. Brought to you by our pal Robin D. Laws and Pelgrane Press, the game takes you on a brain-bending spiral through multiple selves and timelines.
Inspired by Robert W. Chambers’ influential cycle of short stories, The Yellow King Roleplaying Game pits the characters against the reality-altering horror of The King in Yellow. This suppressed play, once read, invites madness. Or a visit from its titular character, an alien ruler intent on invading and remolding our world into a colony of their planet, Carcosa. Four books, served up together in a beautiful slipcase, confront your players with an epic journey into reality horror.
The Yellow King Roleplaying Game has already funded and blasted through 25 Stretch Goals. Seize it now with your massive tentacles!
- a Random Brain Cylinder whose number we have not yet determined posted this update. We are trying to find out which one did it. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Laid out files of book redux!

I sit down after eating lunch and touch my mouse which is resting over the "publish" button on my work in progress update. So, disregard the previous one!
What I meant to say:
While we still do not have a final page count, according to the work in progress laid out files, chapter 3 (out of 10) ends on page 98. This is going to be a very long, very heavy book, very possibly clocking in at over 300 pages. I don't know if it will reach 350, but there's a very good chance. This is massive, and I think the content, layout and art will speak for itself.
In any case, enjoy these quick images of some of the final laid out content:

In my previous update, I accidentally wrote that it was emailed via CrowdOx. This is because we have used CrowdOx for our pledge manager on almost every Kickstarter - except THIS one. So it was just my error.
You should have gotten an email via BackerKit, not CrowdOx. I apologize for this confusion!
And as I wrote before, please do not share or give the PDFs or download link to anyone. This is for you as backers, for your patience (and so we can help crowdsource proofreading).
While Petersen Games generally may want to sow Chaos in the world by Awakening Cthulhu and other great old ones, sharing the results of our hard work for those who did not pay for it will just make it very difficult for us to make more in the future!

I've sent the link via CrowdOx.
A very important note - it should go without saying that a lot of time, work, effort and money went in to making this project. Please do not share these PDFs or the link to anyone. They are for YOU as backers.
